Most payments coverage is written either by vendors selling something or by law firms summarising directives. Neither tells a merchant what a change costs them in practice.
Kvitt covers the full path a payment takes — the terminal on the counter, the checkout on the site, the credit offered at the moment of purchase, and the rules that govern all three. The focus is the Nordics, the language is English, and the test for every piece is whether someone running a shop could act on it.
Who writes it
Jonas Jahnsson. Ten years in marketing technology, currently in e-commerce, with two years at Gitcoin growing its grants programme and a stretch helping build buidlbox, a hackathon platform. Also runs a small consultancy with both crypto and e-commerce clients.
That means the numbers here occasionally come from actual checkouts rather than from a vendor's press release.
The name
Kvitt is Norwegian. It means square, settled, even — nobody owes anybody anything any more. It is what every payment claims to achieve and what a surprising number of them do not.
